Jonathan Greening
NO, it's not an interview with legendary singer Tina Turner!
It's our weekly feature in which we get up close and personal with the Albion players to find out who or what tops their charts.
Every Tuesday, you'll be able to read one of the Hawthorns troops' answers to ten probing questions as we delve into their colourful careers and find out what tickles their fancy in their leisure time.
Today, we chat to Baggies midfielder and former York City, Manchester United and Middlesbrough ace Jonathan Greening.
Q1: Simply the best match you've ever played in?
JG: Probably the last game of the 2004/05 season when we stayed up on the final day with a 2-0 win over Portsmouth at The Hawthorns - not performance wise but for what it meant to everybody and for the celebrations after.
Q2: Simply the best meal you've eaten?
JG: My mum's Christmas dinner. She cooks a great Christmas meal.
Q3: Simply the best player you've played against?
JG: Roy Keane when he was at Manchester United. He was always tough in games and obviously one of the best midfielders in the world. I always had a battle with him and I would have to say he is the best player I have played against.
Q4: Simply the best holiday destination?
JG: Thailand when I was a bit younger. I went on a cruise around the islands with the missus. That was a different experience and one that I'd like to repeat. I was 20 and it was just after I'd gone to United. We went there for three weeks in the summer and it was lovely.
Q5: Simply the best player you've played with?
JG: Obviously the players at Manchester United like Roy Keane and Paul Scholes but I'd probably have to say Ryan Giggs. He has been one of the top players in the Premier League for the last ten to 12 years on a consistent level. He was someone I used to watch when I was little as well.
Q6: Simply the best practical joker?
JG: Andy Johnson, I would say, particularly after he tied dead mice to my car aerial and put them in my boot. Andy Johnson wins that by about 100% - he is a wrong 'un.
Q7: Simply the best book you've read?
JG: I've only read one book apart from the Roger Red Hats books and all that when I was younger! So it will have to be the Da Vinci Code. Everyone was raving about it so I thought I'd give it a whirl and I got into it. I read it in about a week and it was quite interesting. I'm going to watch the film now it's out on DVD and then see which one is the best - the book or film.
Q8: Simply the best captain you've played with?
JG: I'd probably say it would have to be out of Roy Keane and Gareth Southgate, mainly Gareth Southgate because I played more with him. I played about 100 games with him as my skipper at Middlesbrough and he was absolutely brilliant, one of the best professionals I have come across with his work ethic. He is a brilliant guy off the pitch as well. He was a brilliant captain for Boro and hopefully he'll become a good manager as well.
Q9: Simply the best match you've ever watched?
JG: There are quite a few but I would have to say the Champion League final a couple of years ago when Liverpool came back from 3-0 down against AC Milan at half-time to force extra-time and win it on penalties. I was enjoying myself in Portugal on holiday and at half-time I just couldn't believe what had happened to them. Then for them to come out and play the way they did! All credit to them, they made me fall off my stool a few times that night!
Q10: Simply the best car you've ever owned?
JG: The best car is probably the car I've got now, the X5 does a good job with the kids and that. It's quite luxurious inside and there is space in the boot to put the pram and shopping in. So, yeah, the best car is probably the BMW X5. The mini was good as well, but not as nice as the big one.
