Simply the Best'SIMPLY the Best'.

No, it's not an interview with legendary singer Tina Turner!

It is our new weekly feature at www.wba.co.uk where we get up close and personal with the Albion players to find out who or what tops the charts for them.

Every Tuesday, you'll be able to read the answers to ten probing questions from one of Bryan Robson's troops as we delve into their colourful careers and what tickles their fancy in their leisure time.

Today, we kick-off with summer-signing and former Luton, Arsenal, West Ham, Coventry, Wimbledon and Celtic ace John Hartson.

Q1: Simply the best match you've ever played in?

JH: It was for Celtic when we beat Liverpool 2-0 at their place in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals in March 2003. We drew 1-1 at Celtic Park so we had to go there and score because of the away goals rule. I scored the second and it was a great night at Anfield against a team I supported as a boy.

Q2: Simply the best meal you've eaten?

JH: That would be my mum's beef Sunday lunch with all the trimmings.

Q3: Simply the best player you've played against?

JH: I've been fortunate enough to play against a lot of good players like Wayne Rooney when Wales played England and Andriy Shevchenko, Fabio Cannavaro and Alessandro Nesta when Celtic played AC Milan. But for me it would be Ronaldinho when Celtic played Barcelona in the Champions League and we drew 1-1 in the Nou Camp. I scored and Ronaldinho was the best player.

Q4: Simply the best holiday destination?

Florida. It's really nice over there and the kids enjoy it. The Americans are quite chilled out.

John HartsonQ5: Simply the best player you've played with?

JH: For club it would be Ian Wright when I was at Arsenal. He's just brilliant. When I went to Arsenal at 19 he was the England centre-forward and he was in his prime. He did everything - head, tackle, volley with both feet, make great runs and was aggressive. For country it would be Ryan Giggs because he's one of the best players in the world and has been for the last ten or 12 years. He's so quick, clever and consistent.

Q6: Simply the best practical joker?

JH: Alan Thompson at Celtic. He is a naturally really funny guy and his Geordie accent makes him even funnier.

Q7: Simply the best book you've read?

JH: John Daly's autobiography. I read it on the plane going to New York a couple of years ago. I love golf and he's lived the life. He's been so wild. His nickname 'Wild Thing' is about right!

Q8: Simply the best captain you've played with?

JH: Tony Adams at Arsenal by a million miles. Tony was brilliant. He is a big leader of men and I loved working with him. He was really good with me as a youngster at Arsenal.

Q9: Simply the best match you've ever watched?

JH: I really enjoyed watching my hometown team Swansea win the Football League Trophy in April. They beat Carlisle in the final at the Millennium Stadium. I took my kids and family and we watched from a box. Swansea went 1-0 up, then it was 1-1 and Swansea won 2-1 with an 81st-minute goal. It was really fantastic and the crowd was great. Me and my kids had our Swansea City scarves on and my little boy had a full Swansea kit on.

Q10: Simply the best car you've ever owned?

JH: The one I have now - Range Rover Sports. It is a good car because I'm a big guy. I've had the little Mercedes and BMW sporty cars but the Range Rover is the best because it's so practical. You can get the kids toys in...and the golf clubs!
