BARTOSZ Slusarski completed a £680,000 switch from Polish top-flight outfit Groclin Dyskobolia in August 2007.
The striker penned a two-year deal, plus a further year's option in the club's favour, to become Tony Mowbray's 12th summer signing.
During the first three months of his Hawthorns career, Slusarski's first-team chances were limited to one late substitute appearance at Colchester in October 2007.
Tony Mowbray subsequently allowed him to join Blackpool on loan in November 2007, which was extended by a further month in January 2008, to get some Championship experience under his belt.
Slusarski spent the 2006/07 season on loan at Portuguese top-flight side Leiria and proved a real success, netting seven times in 17 starts to win the club's Player-of-the-Year Award.
Before joining the Baggies, he was capped twice by Poland after scoring three times during 12 appearances at Under-21 level.
He had spent his entire career contracted to Polish clubs, enjoying spells with Lech Poznan and Widzew Lodz before linking up with Groclin.
