HAVE you got a head for figures?

Well, in our weekly feature for the 2007/08 season, we find out whether the Albion players and coaching staff have.

Every Tuesday, a member of the Baggies camp will randomly pick 15 questions to answer from a colourful selection of 40 puzzlers.

We will then put them under the spotlight.

Today, we quiz Scotland hitman Craig Beattie.

Q2: What is your favourite ice-cream?

CB: Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey has got to be the best one!

Q5: If you were Prime Minister, what one change to the country would you make?

CB: I would lower taxes, or even get rid of them, for the whole country. Not sure if it would be good for the economy though!

Q10: Who did you have a schoolboy crush on?

CB: Kelly Brook. I used to watch her on the Big Breakfast and have followed her flourishing career since! I watched her on Strictly Come Dancing recently but used to switch over to the X-Factor when she had finished!

Q40: If you were cooking to impress, what dish would you select?

CB: I'd go for something nice and easy that I couldn't mess up. Maybe a pasta dish with a tomato sauce, mushrooms, onion, smoked sausage and chicken. A little variety. For dessert I would get a Vienetta, cut some love hearts out of it and put some rose petals on the plate. I think that would definitely impress.

Q29: What is your favourite item of clothing?

CB: At this time of the year, definitely a hat and gloves set. Nobody believes me but it is actually colder down here than in Glasgow!

Q22: What did you have for breakfast this morning?

CB: Poached eggs and toast. I had a wee bit of brown sauce to give it that extra little kick.

Q31: Who would you invite to your dream dinner party?

CB: My family and friends. Obviously, being away I don't get chance to see them all that much. They have visited over Christmas, but it would be great to see them all at the same time and get everyone together.

Q14: What is your favourite other sport?

CB: At the minute, definitely fishing! I've packed up my golf clubs and I'm no good at snooker. I go to a place near the A45 on the way to Coventry with Clem. We haven't caught anything overly big - but we're trying! We go down a couple of times a week and will probably do a fishing tour in the summer. It keeps us out of trouble.

Q27: Which words or phrases do you most overuse?

CB: 'Get to bed' to my little boy. He seems to come alive around half-past-seven at night. That's winding down time for me. I give him a bottle and try and get him to bed but he doesn't have any of it. He is only one but I think he is just learning how to wind me up!

Q36: What is your favourite goal you have scored?

CB: The one I scored for Scotland against Georgia in March last year in the Euro 2008 qualifiers. It was in the last minute of the game, and we had to win to continue to progress in our qualification campaign. It obviously worked out that we didn't make it in the end, but at the time it was a pretty important goal. I think I had about 100 text messages on my phone when I came out the dressing room, which I think showed its importance.

Q37: Who is your favourite cartoon character?

CB: It's a toss up between Mowgli from the Jungle Book and Aladdin. Maximum respect to Mowgli for surviving in the jungle, it's no mean feat. I know these celebrities go into the jungle now but Mowgli really had to survive out there. However, I think it has got to go to Aladdin. He was a homeless guy that managed to nick a Princess. He was definitely punching above his weight! He managed to go from pinching apples to living in a palace. Good effort, Aladdin.

Q39: Have you any pre-match rituals?

CB: Absolutely none at all. I'm not superstitious. Some people have silly ones and once you get into something like that it's hard to break.

Q18: What song would you choose if ordered to take part in karaoke?

CB: It would have to be Neil Diamond's 'Cracklin' Rosie'. I can't sing at all but if I'm among family and friends I wouldn't mind making a fool of myself on the karaoke.

Q24: What was the last music concert you went to?

CB: Meatloaf. It was in Glasgow last year at the SECC with a few friends. It was absolutely fantastic. You could tell he was getting on a wee bit. But his performance was still really good. I would give anything to have seen him 15 years ago. It was an unbelievable show.
