HAVE you got a head for figures?

Well, in our weekly feature for the 2007/08 season, we find out whether the Albion players and coaching staff have.

Every Tuesday, a member of the Baggies camp will randomly pick 15 questions to answer from a colourful selection of 40 puzzlers.

We will then put them under the spotlight.

Today, we quiz reserves coach Craig Shakespeare.

Q4: Who is the best trainer in the Albion camp?

CS: I'm going to be a bit biased as he came up to the first team through the youth ranks, but I'd say Jared Hodgkiss. Whatever session we do, whether it be technical, tactical or non-defensive, he gives it everything. Even on the physical side he always puts in 100 per cent.

Q8: What has been your most embarrassing moment?

CS: I'd probably say when I got married! There was a vintage car there on the day and we were going to have a photo by it. It was one of those cars where the guy who owned it had spent a fortune restoring it. I happened to stand on it! Not literally on top, but on the sill around the edge - and I damaged it! I caused quite a few thousands pounds worth of damage just by putting my heels on it. It was pretty embarrassing.

Q12: What is your favourite colour?

CS: Blue. I just think it is a man or boy's neutral colour. Everyone can get away with blue!

Q18: What song would you choose if ordered to take part in karaoke?

CS: Probably something by Frank Sinatra that isn't too upbeat and can be sung quite easily. Maybe 'My Way', mainly because I've got the second worst singing voice at the club - behind Bobby Hope! It would definitely have to be a nice slow song.

Q19: What was the last film you saw at the cinema?

CS: 'The Da Vinci Code' - and that was ages ago! When you have got kids, you both go to see kiddie films...or nothing. After the kids had been put to bed, I went to see that on my own at a 10pm showing because my wife doesn't like the cinema.

Q22: What did you have for breakfast this morning?

CS: Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. I don't have that everyday though. It's usually either porridge or poached eggs on toast. I like to keep it varied and try not to have the same thing everyday.

Q24: What was the last music concert you went to?

CS: I think it was Janet Jackson at the NEC! I haven't been to one in ages. I saw most people I have wanted to see in concert when I was growing up, like Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston and all those from that era. There aren't any bands at the moment that stand out which I want to see in concert. Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing Robbie Williams, so hopefully he will do another tour in the future.

Q26: What was the first record you ever bought?

CS: I'm sure it was Stevie Wonder's 'Isn't She Lovely?' on vinyl! I can't check it out though as I've got rid of all my records now.

Q30: When was the last time you used public transport?

CS: Sometimes we leave the car at home and take the children to Sutton or Birmingham on the train, mainly because we don't want them to get into the habit of being taken everywhere. It also makes it more of a day out. The last time we did it was about six months ago.

Q5: If you were Prime Minister, what one change to the country would you make?

CS: I would abolish stamp duty for everybody as I think we have to pay enough with solicitor fees and other costs when buying a house.

Q32: What is your greatest achievement in football?

CS: Going up via the play-offs into the old Second Division with Walsall during the 1987/88 season. The final against Bristol City had to go to a replay, which doesn't happen anymore. To go through all that and win was great. I didn't sleep for 48 hours after because I was on such a high. My mind was still racing. It was a great feeling and one that will stay in my memory forever.

Q34: Use three words to describe you as a character?

CS: Light-hearted, cheeky and sociable.

Q36: What is your favourite goal you have scored?

CS: It would be a left-footed shot from about 35 yards against Chelsea when I was playing for Walsall. It was in a Milk Cup tie. It was one of those shots you just hit sweet and it flew into the top corner. It was a good long-range effort. We drew 2-2 so we had to go to a replay. Chelsea were not as big a club then as they are now. But it was still a good effort to take them that far. That's also why it was my best goal. I actually had another disallowed in that match. It was ruled offside - but I still believe to this day I was onside!

Q39: Have you any pre-match rituals?

CS: No. I never did as a player either. I found the more you got involved in that, if it didn't happen or the game didn't go your way, the more it would affect you. I just get on with whatever happens and do my best.

Q9: Who would play you in the film of your life?

CS: Well, I can't say Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson because I would just get slaughtered! So maybe I would pick someone like Matt Damon, as he has got a bit about him as well. At least then in the film I could pretend I was suave and sophisticated rather than someone like Peter Kay, who would just take the mickey out of me! I would have to see Matt play football first, though. But who knows? He might even be better than me!
