DERBY DELIGHT...Morrison sealed victory over Wolves with Albion's second goal
ALBION
pulled off their third straight FA Premier Academy League win with a 2-0 victory in the Black Country derby at Wolves on Saturday.

Joss Labadie and Staffan Morrison fired goals in either half to see off Wanderers.

"It wasn't our best performance of the season but we felt comfortable throughout the game," said Baggies coach Michael Appleton.

"We've played ten times better this year and lost but at the moment there is a lot of confidence in the team, grit, determination and will to win.

"We're on a good run at the moment and the lads are eager to keep it going.

"They're getting used to winning games, which is important, because they got to a stage where losing was becoming a habit, even if it was only by the odd goal."

Unfortunately the afternoon was marred by an ankle injury to striker Michael Nardiello, who could be out for up to two weeks.

ALBION: Bateman; McGovern, Manchester, Holmes, Baker; Nichols (Downing 80), Labadie, Compton, D Nicholson; Nardiello (McQuilkin HT), Morrison. Subs not used: Daniels (gk), Mason.
