Rachel Pavlou and Darren Moore
LEADING LIGHT...Moore picks up yet another accolade for his tireless work in the community from FA regional Midlands manager Rachel Pavlou

DARREN Moore was presented with a Birmingham County FA award for his tireless grass roots work at today's (Monday) clash with Villa.

The giant Baggies defender received the honour from FA regional Midlands manager Rachel Pavlou shortly before kick off.

The FA Football Workforce is a programme designed to recognise and reward volunteers by providing support and in-service training to those who devote their time to the grassroots level of the game.

And a host of awards have been presented to clubs and individuals from the Black Country, Birmingham and Greater Warwickshire areas, including Football Workforce, Fair Play and Charter Standard winners at county and regional level.

Moore is a trustee of his charity, Faith & Football, and is engaged in community initiatives most weeks, as well as spearheading many schemes for Albion's ever expanding community programme.

He has also gained his UEFA A coaching badge and was recognised by his PFA colleagues and 'Kick it Out' by being awarded a prestigious national PFA award earlier this year.
