Baker set for injury comeback
LEE Baker could make his long-awaited return from a serious knee injury in this afternoon's Albion reserves clash at Port Vale (ko 2pm).
He has been named on the bench as part of a youthful 15-man squad for the Baggies' final Pontin's Holidays League Divison One (Central) fixture of the season.
The 19-year-old left-back ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during pre-season training in July, just a week after signing his first professional contract.
But the Redditch-born defender was allowed to focus fully on the long road to recovery without having to sweat about his future at the club after being signed up for a further year by Albion in October.
ALBION: Lloyd-Weston, Downing, Hancox, Mason, Saied, Lake-Gaskin, Worrall, Labadie, Compton, Morrison, Knight. Subs: Holmes, Samuels, Martin, Baker.
