BOSTJAN Cesar makes his first start in nine games as Tony Mowbray makes five changes to the side that lost 4-1 to Leicester on Saturday.

The giant Slovenia international comes in for the injured Leon Barnett (hamstring).

Carl Hoefkens returns from a three-game absence with a hamstring injury to replace Shelton Martis at right-back and Pele is handed his first start in six games as he comes in for Do-Heon Kim in midfield.

Martis and Kim both drop to the bench.

Thirty-five-goal partnership Ishmael Miller and Kevin Phillips start in attack as Roman Bednar is relegated to substitute and Luke Moore serves the first match of his three-game ban for his red card against the Foxes.

Alan Pardew makes one change to the Addicks side beaten 2-0 at Ipswich at the weekend as Andy Gray comes in for Zheng Zhi.
