ROMAN Bednar looks set to shake off a calf injury in time for Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final at Bristol Rovers (ko 6pm).

But Carl Hoefkens remains a doubt after missing training today with the leg problem he suffered in Tuesday's 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday.

Sixteen-goal hitman Bednar limped out of the Hillsborough victory in the 62nd-minute but is now expected to be available to try and continue his run of scoring in every round of this season's cup.

"Roman is fine," said Tony Mowbray.

"I'm sure he'll be okay.

"He hasn't trained today but there is every intention he will train tomorrow and be ready for selection on Sunday.

"He's an important player for us.

"He has scored a lot of goals and brings great qualities to the team.

"I'm pretty sure in my mind his name will be on the team-sheet come Sunday.

"I would suggest Carl will be okay.

"He didn't train today but he is pretty positive about it.

"We're pretty positive both of them will be available."

The Baggies now face three games in six days, with league games against Crystal Palace on Wednesday (ko 7.45pm) and Leicester tomorrow week (ko 3pm) to follow.

And the Albion chief admits it will be a case of horses for courses when it comes to picking his team for each match.

"We're in a decent enough position players-wise to pick the right team for each game," Mowbray added.

"There will be changes from game to game but I don't put weaker teams out.

"I put different teams out and trust in the quality players we have available.

"I anticipate Sunday will be a different type of game from Wednesday and I will pick the players that will be more suited to the games."

On-loan Luke Moore and Shelton Martis are both cup-tied for the sixth-round clash after playing for Villa and Scunthorpe respectively earlier in the competition.
