Beattie told he can go on loan
TONY Mowbray has told Craig Beattie he can go out on loan.
The Scotland striker scored a double in Albion reserves' 6-1 win over Huddersfield last night.
But he has been restricted to ten starts and 16 substitute appearances for the first team since his summer move from Celtic because of the form of 43-goal strike trio Kevin Phillips, Roman Bednar and Ishmael Miller.
And the 24-year-old hitman, who has four goals to his name this term, missed out on Mowbray's 16-man squad against Hull on Saturday after being pushed further down the pecking order by new loan signing Luke Moore.
"It's something I've talked to Craig about," said the Baggies boss.
"He wants to play, and I brought him here to play, but the way things have unfolded he's found himself not on the bench at the weekend.
"Everything has to marry together.
"There has to be a team who want Craig, he has to want to play for that club and I've got to allow it to happen.
"I'm sympathetic to his frustrations.
"If he can play four or five games over 28 days and keep himself fit for when we need him then so-be-it.
"If Craig wants to get some game time then I'm happy to facilitate that for him."
