IT was burger, fries and Champagne all round on Sunday as we celebrated clinching the title in style at a McDonalds on the A40!

For some reason we didn't get our post-match food at QPR and as the boys were starving the coach driver kindly stopped off for us just outside London - and we were 'lovin' it'.

The coach wouldn't fit threw the drive-thru though so we had to go inside and I think the staff were a bit gob-smacked to see a Premier League football team walk into their restaurant!

I tucked into a burger and fries but there were a few lads who stuck a bit more away - thoroughly deserved off course.

Later that night we had a proper promotion party where the gaffer invited all the players' partners and that was really nice.

From the start of the season we said we wanted to win the Championship and it's a great achievement for everyone involved with the club.

It was hilarious seeing all the fans dressed up as super heroes on the streets outside Loftus Road.

I remember one guy who was only dressed in Tesco bags, which was really funny.

I was amazed how many were dressed up and I spotted a few Wolverines!

We were all working towards one aim and the gaffer did an extremely great job by getting people in who think the same way.

It's been an amazing season for the fans, with plenty of ups and downs.

But there has always been one thing in mind.

They've shown great support and we've shown good character in games - that's what you want to see from a club.

There has been lots of pressure and we came from behind in games a number of times.

We showed a tremendous drive and determination.

It was probably one of our worst performances of the season at QPR but we did what we needed to do by keeping a clean-sheet and used our quality in attack to finish things off.

I will forever remember picking up the trophy and receiving my winners' medal.

It's great to give something back to the fans as well.

It's a tough league but we only lost one of our last 14 games and did really, really well.

It's massive that I can go back to where I live in Stoke and hold my head up high knowing we're champions.

I'm really glad otherwise I would have got loads of stick.

To give credit to Stoke, they had a great season as well and we just had a better one.

My highlight was definitely the last game at Loftus Road.

Losing 4-2 at home to Coventry in December was a low point in one way.

We were really tired in that game after a tough run of fixtures and Coventry had had a rest so they really out-ran us.

We couldn't cope with that and we lost at home for the first time in the league.

After the game I was expecting the fans to be critical but all the fans were supportive and just said 'keep going'.

That was a massive thing and a high point because it shows how great the fans have been this year.

It was a real motivation and we pulled ourselves together again.

In the dressing room afterwards we just said we must keep going.

It was a real turning point and I'm very grateful to the fans for that.

It's been a very hard season mentally, especially as everyone was calling us the 'best team in the league' even before we kicked a ball.

It's hard when everyone plays their heart out against you.

Mentally and physically it was very hard but it's been an amazing season.

I'm looking forward to a well-earned break now and spending lots of time with the kids and my wife.

So, that's it for 'Hoef the Cuff' this term.

All the players will be back for pre-season at the start of July and we'll be ready to go again.

It's a dream come true to have the chance to play in the Premier League.

I'm looking forward to testing myself against the best players in the world week in, week out.

It's a massive challenge.

I'm looking forward to playing at places like the Emirates Stadium, Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge.

I want to get points against decent teams, prove we're worth our place in that league and play our brand of football in the Premier League.
